The strap is made of a rather loose, soft nylon weave, and the threads are almost yarn-like, with some fuzziness. That makes the strap soft and comfortable against the skin. It might compromise the strength and abrasion resistance slightly, compared to regular hard-weave nylon webbing, but for a watch strap it hardly matters. If it becomes fuzzy, you can just clean up the loose fibers with a match. The issue is that the strap is SO limp that it's a bit hard to thread through the buckle and keepers, and also to undo. If you're taking it off, you can't get a finger under it, you have to pinch the band so it creases down the center line to pull it out of the keepers. Another small issue is that it absorbs water, unlike the rubber strap. It will dry quickly, but it will still keep your wrist damp for a while. And the red Momentum logo was sewn on slightly crooked. I ended up removing it. And though I was careful, I also pulled up a few fibers in the very loose, yarnlike threads. (That's why I expect it won't be very abrasion-resistant.) The rubber strap was easier to thread through the buckle, and was still comfortable and didn't retain water. Mine cracked and tore after several years, but I was happy with the wear I got out of it. This nylon band was on sale so I thought I'd try it. But if I were to do it again, I'd stick with the rubber strap.
