Every Momentum watch is backed by a limited warranty that protects against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. Coverage depends on the movement type:

Warranty Coverage:

• Regular Quartz Models: 2 years, renewable in 2-year increments (up to 6 years total) when serviced by Momentum.
• LongLife Quartz Models: 6 years from the date of purchase. (No regular battery replacement required.)
• Solar Quartz Models: 6 years from the date of purchase. (Powered by light; no battery changes needed.)
• Automatic Models: 2 years, renewable in 2-year increments (up to 6 years total) when serviced by Momentum.

Please retain your proof of purchase or receipt from an authorized Momentum dealer to validate your warranty.


What’s Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage from accidents, impact, or misuse
• Moisture damage from an unscrewed or improperly sealed crown
• Normal wear and tear (scratches, cosmetic fading, or strap deterioration)
• Batteries, crystals, or other consumable parts
• Loss or theft

All warranty claims are subject to inspection by Momentum technicians to confirm eligibility.

In modern watchmaking, the term “waterproof” is no longer permitted under international marking regulations — even for professional dive watches. Instead, watches are rated as “water-resistant”, accompanied by a specific depth or pressure rating that indicates how well they’re sealed against water intrusion.

Every Momentum watch undergoes rigorous testing to verify its stated water-resistance rating, whether that’s 50M for everyday use or 300M+ for serious diving. A watch marked “300M water-resistant” has been pressure-tested to withstand the equivalent of 300 meters underwater.

Before entering the water, always ensure the crown is securely screwed down. For models with push-buttons, avoid pressing them while submerged, as this can compromise the seal.

Fun fact: Momentum watches are sold in more professional dive shops than any other watch brand — a testament to our commitment to real-world performance and reliability.

Sapphire crystal is made from pure aluminum oxide, created under extreme heat and pressure to form a transparent, highly durable crystal. It ranks 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — just below diamond — making it one of the hardest materials used in watchmaking.

By comparison, most standard watch crystals are made from heat-tempered mineral glass, which has a hardness rating around 6.5. While mineral glass offers decent resistance to scratches and impact, it can still mark or scuff during active wear.

Sapphire crystal provides exceptional scratch resistance and optical clarity, ensuring your watch dial remains perfectly visible even after years of use. This is why Momentum equips most of our watches with sapphire crystals — to deliver maximum durability and long-term legibility, whether you’re at the office, underwater, or on the trail.

Quartz watches are powered by a battery that sends an electric current through a quartz crystal, causing it to vibrate at a precise frequency. These vibrations regulate the timekeeping mechanism, making quartz watches extremely accurate and low-maintenance.
Best for: everyday wearers who want reliable, set-and-forget accuracy with minimal upkeep.

Automatic watches are powered by movement — specifically, the motion of your wrist. Inside the case, a weighted rotor winds the mainspring as you move, storing energy to keep the watch running. No batteries are required, but automatic watches should be worn regularly or stored in a watch winder to maintain power.
Best for: watch enthusiasts who appreciate traditional craftsmanship and mechanical engineering.

Solar watches use light — natural or artificial — to recharge a built-in battery through a solar cell beneath the dial. Once fully charged, they can run for months, even in darkness, offering precision and sustainability without frequent battery changes.
