What is Sapphire Crystal?
Today, most better quality watches are fitted with a heat-tempered (hardened) "mineral" crystal. While it is fairly scratch-resistant, mineral crystal can be scratched and damaged by everyday wear and inadvertent impacts, particularly if you are active and wear your watch for sports. Mineral glass is made from sand and has a hardness rating of around 6.5. Sapphire crystals may not look any different at first glance, but are made from a completely different material: pure aluminum oxide. This material requires extremely high temperatures to manufacture and has a much higher hardness rating. (Around 9...; this is just below a diamond, or a similar hardness rating to a natural sapphire stone...;hence the name, "sapphire" crystal.)
Upgrading to a sapphire crystal will make your crystal virtually scratch proof, ensuring a clear view of the watch dial and maximum legibility for many years...; even if you wear your watch hard!
What is the difference between waterproof and water-resistant?
Marking regulations in certain countries do not allow us to mark watches as "waterproof", even if they are dive models, rated to depths of 300M or more. Instead, they require us to mark "water-resistant", together with the depth or pressure to which they have been tested. This means you can wear any Momentum watch with a water-resistant depth-rating in the water without worry...; just PLEASE ensure that you screw the crown into the case securely before you go in the water, and if your watch has any push-buttons, do NOT push the buttons while under water!
(Fun fact: Momentum watches are sold in more professional dive shops than any other watch brand.)

How do I send my watch in for service or repair?
You do not need a return authorization. Just visit our Service Information page, (HINT: it's in the menu at the bottom of each page.) Then complete the Service and Repair Form. Fill this in according to the instructions and return your watch to one of our service centers. We will take it from there.
How do I know if my repair will be covered under warranty?
Warranty coverage for service and repair is determined after evaluation by the Service Center. We cannot determine warranty coverage for an issue via email or over the phone. For more information about the warranty, please refer to our Service Information page.
I have water in my watch. Is this covered under warranty?
We need to get your watch into the hands of our watchmakers to evaluate how water got inside...; we cannot determine this over the phone or by email. Water inside the watch can rust the movement beyond repair, so please get it back to our nearest authorized Service Center as soon as you can. Generally, if a watch leaked due to user error (e.g. the glass was cracked or damaged by an impact, or the crown was not screwed down correctly, or the buttons were pushed while under water), then it will NOT be covered under warranty. But we know it is an awful feeling when your watch floods, and will do whatever we can to repair or replace your watch as affordably as we can. If any leakage is due to defective components or faulty assembly, don't worry: we will repair or replace your watch at no charge.
Do I need to register my watch to validate the warranty?
No. You do not need to register your watch... but please hang on to your original receipt, as this is required for any warranty claims.
When will my watch be shipped and how much will it cost in Canada and the United States?
$4.95 for standard ground shipping on all orders under $99.00 (5-10 business days). Free standard ground shipping for all orders above $99.00 (5-10 business days). $9.95 for standard shipping and handling with tracking. (5-10 business days)$25.00 Expedited (typically 3-4 business days)
During peak times and the holiday season, expect shipping times to increase. We build each watch to order, completing the final assembly and quality control of your watch only after we receive your order. Once your watch order has shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking number.
We cannot ship expedited or overnight deliveries to P.O. Boxes or rural postal/zip codes. Selecting ‘standard shipping’ is the way to go. We can ship to APO/FPO/DPO addresses, however please be aware that transit times for these addresses can take up to 45 business days! Band orders are shipped untracked by regular post but have the option for tracking at an additional cost. Please advise us if you have not received your band within 2 weeks of order date.
When will my watch be shipped and how much will it cost to Europe?
We can ship to most EU countries.
All orders $99 USD and under cost $5.00 USD for shipping anywhere in Europe. All orders over $100 USD are $30.00 USD anywhere in Europe. This is due to bands costing much less to ship than watches.
We build each watch to order, completing the final assembly and quality control of your watch only after we receive your order. Expect your watch or band order to be processed and shipped within five business days of the order date. Once your watch order has shipped, you will receive an email notification.
There may be additional shipping fees if you live in a remote area.
When will my watch be shipped and how much to other international countries?
Standard ground shipping (approximately 7-15 business days. Note that transit times may vary depending on final destination): $30 shipping fee.

What is Installments with Afterpay?
Installments with Afterpay is a service that allows you to make purchases now and pay for them in four payments made every 2 weeks without any interest.
How do I use Installments with Afterpay?
Simply shop online and add items to your shopping bag and checkout as normal. At the checkout choose Installments with Afterpay as your payment method. First-time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details, as usual, returning customers simply log in to make their purchase. It’s that easy!
Please note that all items in your shopping bag must be eligible for Installments with Afterpay. A minimum purchase amount may apply and you must meet additional eligibility requirements to qualify.
Where can I use Installments with Afterpay?
Installments with Afterpay can only be applied to purchases made on momentumwatch.com website.
How does the payment schedule work?
All customers are required to make their first payment at the time of purchase, with the remaining three payments deducted every two weeks from your chosen payment method. If you choose to make additional payments before your scheduled pay dates, you may do so through your Afterpay account.
You can log in to your Afterpay account to view your payment schedule and make a payment before the due date if you choose to do so.

When will my items be delivered if I use Installments with Afterpay?
Afterpay orders are delivered as per our standard shipping time frame after you complete your order online.
What products are not eligible for purchase using Installments with Afterpay?
Afterpay is not available on purchases of gift cards. If you are purchasing gift cards along with Afterpay eligible products, you will need to place two separate orders.
How do I return or exchange an item purchased using Installments with Afterpay?
If you have changed your mind, you can return your Afterpay purchase in-store or by mail for a refund. Please check that your return or exchange meets our Return policy here. Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Please do not return your purchase to Afterpay.

What if I can’t pay an Afterpay installment?

What happens if I have a partial refund, and how does that affect my payments?
Afterpay will be notified once your refund is processed. Your payment plan will be automatically adjusted to reflect the new total order value starting with the last payment and working backward. Note that the length of payments will never go beyond six weeks after the purchase date. In the case where a refund amount is larger than 25% of the total order, Afterpay will eliminate the fourth instalment payment and charge the remaining amount to your third payment.
