The triumphant result of a long search
Gentlemen, I use an electronic translator. Sorry if something is badly translated. I got this watch recently. It was the last copy of the Flatline with a white dial in Russia. I looked at this watch for a long time, but decided to buy it only now - when they began to disappear from sale. And I bought both black and white! The watch is just the bomb! Very convenient size - 42X9. The highest quality workmanship. Great design. Thoughtfulness in the details. Good bracelet. And, most importantly, impeccable readability! A cursory glance is enough to instantly determine the time. This is probably the best watch I have ever owned. And there were many... Separately, I want to mention the excellent support. There were a couple of questions - an employee of the company immediately responded (unlike the Russian dealer) and for a long time and patiently told me everything that I asked. Thank you so much, Mr. Pennell!
First Impressions are Pleasing
I have been wearing the Flatline watch for only 25 days and here are the results so far: Rain, dust, dropping it on the floor, banging it around during a couple of construction projects, and brushing it against briars and tree limbs during jaunts into the woods have provided an adequate early test as to the Flatline's durability. The steel band still looks like new, the crystal is unscratched, and the time is still precise and correct. Upon arrival of my new watch, I set the time using an atomic clock as a reference. Twenty-five days later the watch shows a time that differs by about one second from that shown on the atomic clock. My only conclusion is, the atomic clock must now be off by one second. Long term durability of the watch remains to be seen but I am extremely optimistic. Based on the early results, however, I would highly recommend the Flatline watch to those who want a no nonsense, hard working, tough and accurate timepiece. And it looks nice on the wrist also.
Tough Stuff
I was looking for an everyday watch so I could give my Tag a break. I purchased the Flatline in 2017, immediately put it on (with a NATO strap) and went back to work on the renovation. That first day I was using a jackhammer not thinking that vibration might be a little hard on my new watch. Nothing I've done has phased this watch in the 21/2 years I've worn it, and with the Sahpphire crystal it's still looking great and running as accurately as the day I took it out of the box. Easy to read, clean looking, tough, and accurate. Very pleased.
It Grew On Me
I was looking for a German flieger / pilot watch. Among the others I came upon the Momentum Flatline, it looks inspired by traditional pilot watches. with field watch elements. Initially I was worried that it may look too much as a Timex. It has grown on me - the dial is really really legible. The crew down crown is nice, and the watch feels good on the wrist. I just wish the minute and hour hand were a couple of millimeters longer and that the triangle at 12 was below an hour marker, instead of being the hour marker itself. I like the black date wheel, it does not distract from the black dial. more like the traditional fliegers (although I imagine the Flatline is referencing an IWC with similar date window). Anyway happy with the purchase. I used it at the pool, it seems great for swimming too, the red second hand is really visible. It looks functional. The lume is good can last a few hours if charged, but not as bright as my Citizen eco drive dive watch.
