The Quintessential Dive Watch
Classic dive watch design. 300M water-resistance with screw-down crown, reliable automatic movement, sapphire crystal for both the front and display back, and smooth 120-click rotatable bezel make this watch a true standout. All packed in a case with a beautiful blend of brushed and polished finishing.
Reliable Automatic Movement
The Aquamatic III uses the tried-and-true Seiko NH35 automatic (self-winding) movement. Dependable and easy to service, the Aquamatic III is a watch you can count on.
I just purchased my first watch and a wallet from Momentum and I'm very pleased! Everything was well packaged and in pristine shape. It was also handled and shipped quickly! The watch is also beautiful!
Had my aquamatics (2) the first one perhaps from when they first arrived, the second when the clear back came in... servicing has been brilliant and I've been in the commercial diving business for a long time so I haven't been easy on it, this is a solid watch that never leaves my arm..do yourself a favour and buy one...you won't be disappointed. Thanks for the review Terry!
Picked my watch (Aquamatic III Steel) up in Saskatoon. Very happy with the fit, feel and service I received at "Watchit". Glad to have a watch that was built specifically for me, in Canada. A top quality Canadian made watch for a fraction of the cost of European watches of comparable quality. In this day of automation and mass offshore production in Asia this will be cherished purchase for a long time.
Went through watch after watch never paying more than $50 to $100 until I realized you get what you pay for! So I decided to get something good, and since I'm a diver it had to be waterproof. My dive shop had a display of St. Moritz, now Momentum. But I didn't buy one yet. Instead I did some research to compare what was out there. For the money Aquamatic was the best value bar none, and comparable with Rolex, Omega and Tag. So I bought one. That was 1998. Still have it! Best investment I've ever made, and probably saved me a ton of money in cheap watches. Dove all over the world with it, and never had a problem. First service wasn't until 2007. Two more since then. Sent it directly to David at the head office in Vancouver. Keeps better time than a Rolex. If you have the money, buy a Rolex. But if you have smarts buy three or four different Momentums and have one for every occasion. David, by the way, has been there since the beginning. I highly recommend his service! Thanks David!
Picked up one of these at a local dive shop in Toronto. "Watch it" sells them but they have no stock to look it. I have some divers - Halios bluering/laguna 1 and 2/Seiko 007/ Orient Ray 2. I was interested in this given it's "Canadian" heritage. The build quality of this watch is better than the seiko and orient - as it should be since this one is about double the price. The minute markers line up with the bezel, it's a nice deep black colour. Nicely applied raised hour markers It has Sapphire crystal/ability to hack and hand wind/screw pins and rated to 300m. Good value for the money with these specs in an automatic. It is a big watch and I have small wrists and the solid end links make it wear a bit bigger than the lug-lug length. I tried a nato strap on it - it makes it sit up a bit too much for my tastes and the pin placements are close to the case which makes a nato strap challenging to thread. I'll keep it on the bracelet for now. I would recommend this watch and would definitely buy again. Like my halios watches - I keep wanting to look at it - not just to tell the time.
